Book Blogger Hop: Reading in quiet or noisy settings

The Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week we respond to the prompt and engage with other peoples post. This weeks question...

What was your favorite genre to read as a child? Do you still read that genre, or do you read something else now? (submitted by Mark @ Carstairs Considers)
The word child covers a lot of ground :) I read a lot of Goosebumps and wanted to read scary books as a late elementary/ middle schooler. As a teen, I didn't stray too far, I really loved thrillers, bonus points if someone got kidnapped! As an adult I like to think of myself as a very well rounded reader, romantic thrillers are my favorite genre. Guess I'm a creature of habit at the end of the day.

  1. I was in college when Goosebumps came out, but I can see their appeal. I love that they laid the foundation for a lifetime love of thrillers. I remember reading a lot of Encyclopedia Brown, Nancy Drew, and Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid in addition to all the classics of the time. I found all those teen romances in my teens and pretty much still adore romance.

    1. I love romance too! Sometimes I get too caught up if they spend too much time miscommunicating. I've taken to angrily writing notes in my digital copies but I can't stay away!
